If you’ve ever left a soda pop in the freezer for too long, you know exactly what happens: KA-BOOM! Frozen soda pop and glass/aluminum all over the place. Not a fun thing to have to deal with or clean up!

Since it’s the holiday season, we are receiving more and more online orders for soda pop, something we are quite thrilled about. It’s nice to share many of our favorite sodas with friends and families all across the country, however, one of the things we have to keep in mind is ‘where are all of these sodas going?’ For those who are ordering sodas online, and having them shipped to typically cold places in the USA, please keep in mind that in sub-freezing temperatures glass bottled sodas will freezing and explode inside its package. What we are hoping our customers will do to prevent damage to the sodas is have their packages shipped to a location (work, office building, etc.) that won’t be left on a front porch for too long, and freeze.

The Soda Gallery is taking steps to make sure your orders will be signed for and received, to prevent exploding soda bottles, as well as to also deter theft of packages left unattended. Unfortunately, the holiday season sees a spike in thefts, and we’d hate for our customers to not be able to enjoy our products due to either reason.

So, if you are still looking to place that last-minute order for you or someone on your holiday shopping list, do us and yourself a favor, and make sure you are able to physically receive your soda order on the day it is delivered. If you are not home, we will make sure FedEx (our main shipping provider) will notify you of another delivery attempt. In most cases, if you cannot receive your shipment at home by signing directly for a package, you can contact FedEx customer service directly and have them re-route your package to another destination. It may take an additional day for your delivery to be made, but it’s better than having to ship out a new order.

Lastly, to be sure your order is received in time for Christmas, it’s a good idea to go ahead and place those soda orders on or before December 18th (for regular ground delivery.) The typical delivery time for FedEx Ground shipping is 1-4 business days, depending upon location. PLEASE NOTE: THE SODA GALLERY WILL ACCEPT ONLINE ORDERS UNTIL DECEMBER 23RD FOR HOLIDAY PROCESSING/SHIPPING. ALSO, THE SODA GALLERY WILL BE CLOSED FROM DECEMBER 25TH, THROUGH JANUARY 3, 2010. ANY ORDERS PLACED ONLINE DURING THOSE DATES WILL BE PROCESSED AND SHIPPED AFTER JANUARY 3, 2010.

December is finally here and the holiday season has officially begun! And since the holidays are quickly approaching, TSG is taking advantage by extending our store hours to include Mondays (our usual day off.) Mondays from Nov. 30th through Dec. 21st the shop will be open from 11a-4pm. (Additional store hours as follows: Tues-Thurs: 11a-9p, Fri-Sat: 11a-11p, and Sun: 11a-4p.) However, if you can’t make it to our shop in person, you can shop 24/7 online!

Speaking of online shopping, we’ve added a few new collectibles, such as collectible bottle caps and vintage soda labels, as well as a new ‘Cola Sampler 6-pack’ for you to try. Because our ‘Root Beer Sampler’ has been so popular, we thought we’d expand our assortment offerings.

Looks as though our ginormous shipment of sodas arrives this Friday, December 4th, meaning you’ll be able to get your hands on Coca-Cola from Amsterdam once again, a soda that is nearly impossible to keep on our shelves! We also have many other favorites returning to the coolers. Be sure to check the online store and/or our actual shop to see the newbies!
