Stop in and have a cold soda, listen to some great music and enjoy your evening with us!

There’s ‘buzz’ abound…

Some interesting changes are taking place, not only in The Soda Gallery, but all over the Bishop Arts District, many of which excite us to no end!!!

First up, we’d like to take the opportunity to thank the fine folks at Eno’s Pizza Tavern for opening up across the street from us. This world needs more places where you can get an extremely delicious  brick-over fired pizza and cold draft beer when you need one. They even carry a few of our choice root beers on tap, as well, if you need a tasty cold root beer!

There is also some interesting news starting to float around that the Bishop Arts District may be welcoming a new comic book shop in the near future. I know I can speak for the whole district when I say ‘bring it on!’ No concrete details as of yet, but rest assured we’ll let everyone know what’s going on as soon as we hear something.

On our front, as usual we are working on bringing new and exciting sodas to the gallery, as well as fresh and cutting-edge art. Hey…it’s what we do.

Alexei Vella’s “Master of the Crystal Castle” opening today!!!

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

Hello friends.

Just wanted to announce our new show officially opening today @ The Soda Gallery…”Master of the Crystal Castle” - Works by Alexei Vella.

Canadian artist, Alexei Vella, specializes in creating images that are both striking and complex, sensual yet undeniably intellectually involving. In order to achieve this unique look, Vella employs a complex color palette, an eclectic application of graphics and texture, and a sophisticated use of antiquated surfaces.

Appropriating the colloquial iconography of popular retro forms to an emboldened modern sensibility, Vella’s work has achieved international recognition appearing in a variety of exhibitions and print.

We are very excited to welcome Alexei to TSG for this awesome show. It’s one you won’t want to miss out! Now showing through August.

For more info about Alexei’s work, please visit his website at www.alexeivella.com.
